Raimond Wouda photographs passion in the Netherlands
In collaboration with NRC Handelsblad newspaper, the Rijksmuseum is organising the tenth photography exhibition centred around the annual 'Document Nederland' photography project. The title of this year's exhibition is Fans, and it will look at the Netherlands' enthousiasm (and even ubridled passion) for a range of subjects, not only for famous stars such as Marco Borsato, Gerard Joling or Elvis Presley, but also for Dutch football team Ajax, the Royal family, TV-soap Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden and 'Gothic' culture. 'Document Nederland: Fans', an extension of the exhibition 'HERO: the Rijksmuseum in the Nieuwe Kerk church' (11 August - 11 November) was made possible in collaboration with Huis Marseille, where the Rijksmuseum is now being a guest for the third year in a row.
